My name is Grace Augustine. I'm an internationally known, Amazon best-selling author with published books in romance for the over 50 group, metaphysical romance, and self help genres. I am a transplanted Montanan, and my heart will always belong in the Rocky Mountains of Glacier National Park. My background is varied...you could call me a Jill of most trades.
I began my work career doing land chains of title for independent oil and gas businesses in Cut Bank, Montana. After leaving my home state, I landed in Portland, Oregon where I was Assistant Admissions Director and Secretary to Student Services at Western States Chiropractic College. From Oregon, I followed my heart to Iowa and have been here since 1981. I've served as Administrative Assistant to various pastors at various churches, became a floral designer and custom in home decorator, co-owned a weekly newspaper, where I did everything but write the articles (yes I proofed them...I had final say over the paper before publication), an advocate and public speaker for Multiple Sclerosis, and currently I am an author who loves the written, typed, and spoken word.
I'm the mother of two incredible adult sons and one very spoiled 2 year old Torbie (tortoiseshell/tabby) kitty named Babou. I enjoy computer word games, old TCM movies, shaved ice in the summer, fresh brewed coffee with French Vanilla creamer any time of the year, and making custom jewelry. My current fascination is color...bright, stab-you-in-the-eye oranges, yellows, pinks, greens. If you haven't guessed by now, I'm a child of the late 1960's-mid 1970's.
After reading countless poorly edited books, I spoke with author friends, editors, and publishers about my findings only to have them say they'd noticed the same things. All encouraged me to set out on my own and enter the wild world of book editing. So, here I am.
Like the headline above says...I want to achieve book perfection with YOU, and we will do it one word at a time. I am a thorough and very tough editor, but I guarantee you will have the best manuscript when we finish. Your unique writing voice will be preserved. I want to help you achieve your dream, and in doing so, I will achieve mine...quality reads from quality authors.
